Employment Opportunities

To provide continued development and instruction of Geometry and Pre-Calculus in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Legacy Community Academy. The Geometry/Pre-Calculus Teacher will promote a Christian perspective while communicating LCA’s Core Values to students, parents and the broader school community.

To demonstrate personal mastery and instructional effectiveness in Geometry and Pre-Calculus standards.

Provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.

Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.

Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities

Create positive educational climate for students to learn in.

Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.

Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.

Maintain grade books.

Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed.

Create projects designed to enhance direct instruction.

Create lesson plans.

Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.

Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational and cultural backgrounds of the students served.

Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

Observe and evaluate student's performance.

Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures and LCA Core Values.

The teacher must be a mature Christian with knowledge, understanding, and a passion for mathematics instruction and student discipling. The teacher must demonstrate instructional, organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to deal constructively with students, parents and colleagues. The teacher must be able to navigate traditional and virtual curricular resources to deliver 21st century instruction and independent practices. The teacher shall possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, with attention give to candidates with experience in middle school mathematics instruction.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $20,000.00 to $22,000.00 /year
